The best

Violet has started giving me gooogley eyes while sitting in her carrier ❤ It's absolutely wonderful and I can feel how happy she is :)

I haven't posted in a while and rather than try to play catchup, here are some pictures :)

I had to!

Start doing some mini crafts with Violet ❤ We did some handprint and footprint Christmas crafts courtesy of Pinterest :) Oh man, the handprints were tricky!!! I think we'll have to wait a little longer before those will look nicer... But oh are they cute :)

Frozen Shoulder

For the past few weeks my left shoulder has been really hurting. The worst is when I'm holding something or putting pressure on something. Things like carrying Violet, extending my arms out to put her in her crib, turning the steering wheel when I'm driving... Matt asked me to go to the doctor a couple weeks ago, but finding the time is hard. Plus, the doctor wouldn't know what to do and they'd just refer me to someone. So I FINALLY asked one of my coworkers (a physical therapist) who took a look at it in between patients...

...Frozen shoulder.

That is seriously what it's called! The cause isn't quite known, but the shoulder just gets stiffer and stiffer and more and more painful. The PT mentioned that its more common in women, moms, and 30 year olds. I told her I'm not 30 yet and she said, "well you're close!" Hahahaha :) In any case, I couldn't figure out what is causing it. I figured it must be age mixed in with having a giant heavy baby that I carry all the time. She gave me some exercises to help stretch it out and prevent it from getting worse. She also suggested heating it 1x a day.

Well... This morning I woke up and my RIGHT shoulder was sore, too!!! I was super sad as I got ready for work... Then Matt bursted my bubble! Turns out he knew the cause! He told me, "you know hun, you've been sleeping on your stomach with both arms under your pillow for the past month." Yikes... Then I started having these déjà vue moments and realized I knew exactly what he was talking about! Whenever I can't sleep I sleep on my stomach. And I love putting my arms under my pillow but they fall asleep so I can't. Well, I then recalled waking up with sleepy arms, but was too tired and lazy to move them because they hurt and were 'stuck' under the pillow!

My solution? I asked him to wake me up whenever he noticed this at night so I could move them :) Hopefully that solves it!

We've got a screamer!

Let me preface this with assuring that we know we've got an angel of a baby and she's most often quite easy going... BUT...

We've hit the "I-know-you're-about-to-leave-me-here-so-I'm-gonna-scream-as-loud-as-I-can-at-the-top-of-my-lungs-till-you-come-back" stage. And, if you don't recall what this stage is like, or think "Oh, we never went through that" then you're probably lying to yourself! I'm told that this is a great stage because it shows that your 'typically developing child' is forming a strong bond and attachment to you and truly misses you when you're gone. Hmmm... thats nice... but what happens when I need to use the bathroom? Can it be called "gone" when I'm 5 feet away? Lol ❤ This is truly an exciting stage though because we can FEEL her little brain and soul growing :) Although its ridiculous and often heartbreaking, we love her crying and screaming attempts to control her environment (otherwise known as us) :) And I personally love that she tries it on Odie, who really has no clue what she's doing so every response is a lick on her head :) Sometimes that makes her even MORE angry though and she lets out a special little shriek :) Oh Violet :) You're going to be such a little pistol :) From 5 to 100 and back down to 5 within 2 seconds... Phew!
