Thanksgiving at Home

This year we unexpectedly spent Thanksgiving at home :) A late night trip to the market on Wednesday night was actually VERY successful :) With a little bit of prep and cooking I made my first ham and stuffing (NOT in a turkey) :) We had a yummy tangerine glazed ham and carrots (courtesy of Tyler Florence on the Food Network), amazing homemade southern cornbread stuffing (courtesy of Paula Dean on the Food Network), homemade mashed potatoes, candied yams, spinach & mushrooms, cranberry sauce, and some pumpkin pie and a fruit tart which Jacob brought for dessert ❤ It was really wonderful and a perfect first Thanksgiving for our little V! Odie and Violet enjoyed relaxing and playing at home and they had SO much fun with uncle Jacob who was able to join us! After our meal (we ate at 3), we went for a walk to the school near us to swing... But schools don't have swing sets anymore! At least in Long Beach they don't! We took Violet down the big kids slide for the first time instead :) It was a great day :) So much to be thankful for, too ❤ Matt and I are surrounded by such amazing friends and family :) We're so blessed!!
