Library Books

I just laid down in bed to look at the books I borrowed for Violet at the library and look at what Old MacNoah has in it!!!! This author must say "oopsie daisy" a lot, too :)

The story about Dave and Violet is about a shy dragon who turns red hot and blows fire when he's embarrassed :)

Oh my goodness!

So Matt and I put Violet down at 7:45 and she babbled herself to sleep (girl looooves to talk) :) Well, about 15 minutes ago she started crying which is really strange. I figured she was hungry and went in to pick her up... And in the darkness I saw a bundle at the bottom of her crib! I knew exactly what had happened and called Matt to come in quickly! I turned on the light and we saw our dear amazing sweet Violet flipped onto her tummy and shimmied to the bottom of her crib :) She CAN get those thighs over! Even in the pitch black dark with NO toys to entice her! The jig is up chubba thighs :)

And I'm talking about Odie here :) He loves to lay next to Violet :) She gets a kick out of it, too! Just too awesome :)

This morning we went to story time at the library and then stayed to borrow some books :) I dropped V off at daycare for a few hrs so I could clean the house and then go and visit my girlfriend Sheila who just had a baby 2 weeks ago :) Caleb is beautiful and amazing! It was so wonderful to hear her story and catch up! I miss her so much and know that she's an amazing mama :)

Then I picked up Violet from daycare and headed down to a cafe on 2nd street to meet up with a few girlfriends and their babies :) What fun :) The 3 babies we met up with were all born within 7 weeks of Violet. Just a small portion of our mommy group :)

I've got to fold some laundry and get to bed! I'm getting up early to take an 8 mile run with Odie to my favorite breakfast spot :)

Ps- V is getting SOOO close to being a regular roller! If we could JUST get those thighs!!!

Hmm... This can't be safe?

Matt got Violet up earlier than normal this morning because he found her like THIS! She's getting VERY skilled with those little hands and arms and looooooves blankets. We're guessing she pulled all the edges up to try to eat them! Thank goodness she'll be back in her crib tonight. We had her in her rocker because of acid reflux Monday night which often lasts a few days. Do you see her little smile?

Happy Monday... No, Tuesday!

We had to wake Violet up this morning to get ready for daycare... She was pooped from this long fun weekend! In fact, no one wanted to wake up! Not even Odie! At least we're all smiles and not grouchy :)

September so far...

This month has been fantastic so far! On Saturday we spent the day in Redlands visiting with Matt's family (papa returned from nearly 2 months in Mexico for work) :) It was fantastic! I also got to spend some time with my dear friend Breanna who I haven't seen since June!!! I'm going to try to be better about that especially since I can now leave Violet with a bottle :) That's exactly what I did, too :) Gramma feed V a bottle while I met Bre for ice cream at a new local ice cream shop in Redlands called 'A la minute'. Very yummy!!!

On Sunday, while Matt golfed with friends, Violet and I drove out to Palm Springs to see uncle Jacob and his new place. Oh man was it hot!! His new place is really nice and has lots of space for him :) We had a great visit and he's helping us with our computer... Something he's really great at :) That night, Violet was NONE to pleased on our 2 hr drive home... She pretty much cried half the way home :( I contemplated stopping off the freeway, but I knew she wasn't hungry and it was dark... So I opted to be safe and keep driving. Poor thing :( Thank goodness she won't remember this!

Other weekend highlights:
* We got a desktop computer!
* Parks and Recreation season 4 is now on Netflix!
* Violet can wear clip bows in her hair!
* Violet loves sitting in her booster while we eat!
* We ordered some lovies for V that she looooves!
* We took the door off our closet creating WAY more space!
* We drew some fun plans for the possibility of extending our house...
* We put together Violets umbrella stroller and she took a ride!
* Snuggling in the morning and then eating waffles and eggs!
